Programming Assignments

• Program 01 - due beginning of class, Friday, 08 February
• Program 02 - due beginning of class, Monday, 03 March
• Program 03 - due beginning of class, Wednesday, 02 April
• Program 04 - due beginning of class, Wednesday, 16 April

Lab Assignments

The following assignments require the use of Wireshark. The Windoze computer in the fishbowl has been set up to run this on a switched network. You are authorized to use Wireshark on this computer only. Use of Wireshark on any other host at U. Montana is not authorized and is subject to disciplinary action. Additionally, use of this on networks outside of U. Montana may violate their usage policies.

• Lab 01 - hard copy report in class, Monday, 25 February. Essentially, you should go through the exercise and answer the questions at the end. Additionally, please report on any problems you may have encountered.
• Lab 02 - hard copy report in class, Friday, 07 March. As before, you should go through the exercise and answer the questions, reporting on any problems you may have encountered.
• Lab 03 - hard copy report in class, Friday, 04 April. As before, you should go through the exercise and answer the questions, reporting on any problems you may have encountered.
• Lab 04 - hard copy report in class, Wednesday, 23 April. As before, you should go through the exercise and answer the questions, reporting on any problems you may have encountered. If you do this lab from the UM network, you may have to resort to downloading the trace file mentioned in the lab. UM doesn't allow ICMP packets through its firewalls, meaning that traceroute won't work to an outside destination.
